This budding technology can be used for tremendous good or to enslave mankind. “Thanks to researcher Mary Baker for showing me an explosive patent application and its implications. Before getting to the details, the overview is this: a technology exists to embed tiny invisible particles in food products, and […]
Here’s part 2 of Patrick Cox great series on cutting edge cancer cure technologies. “The weapons we currently use to fight cancer are extremely effective cell killers. They’re so good and so dangerous, in fact, that they kill noncancerous cells as well. When we choose to use radiation or chemotherapy, […]
Hardly a day goes by without the announcement of another anti-aging breakthrough. The issue for Boomers is not whether these miracles will occur in time to help them, but whether they will be able to afford cutting edge technologies and treatments that are not covered by Medicate and other […]
It’s a fact that there are some really scary bacterial threats out there, but it’s comforting to know help is on the way. Read more… We’d love to hear your questions or comments below. Thank you. * * * * * Fair […]
By now we’re all familiar with 3D Printing that’s revolutionizing manufacture prototyping and providing many useful small business and home applications. Here’s the next step, 4D and it too is going to be big. Even if you don’t plan on incorporating these phenomenon into your daily life anytime soon, […]
Baby Boomers know the longer we live the more likely we will be diagnosed with some form of cancer. Nanotechnology advances are assisting in early detection of malignant melanoma, lung and other cancers. Early detection is the key to long term survival. Read more…
If you asked your grandparents how long they think they would live they may have guessed around 60-70. If you asked your parents the same question they may have said 70-80. If I asked you, the answer would probably be around 80-90, but with a stronger feeling of uncertainty that it could be longer. More than ever we’re seeing the oldest among us live to incredible ages. Someone living beyond 90 is not terribly uncommon.
Nanotechnology continues to make big news. Earlier diagnosis improves success rates, reduces the need for invasive treatments and dramatically lowers costs. Nanotech is also producing treatment regimens that target cancer cells while leaving healthy cells and tissues untouched.
The ‘double-encapsulation’ technology produces cosmetics that are non-toxic and highly effective. As stated, ‘the active ingredient—uronic acid—is embedded in nanoparticles of cyclodextrin of less than two nanometers. Those particles are, in turn, surrounded by a spherical capsule of beta-cyclodextrin and plant-based lipids with diameters of 80 nanometers. When the nanostructures are applied to the skin . . .
