baby-boomers-bicyclingWe Baby Boomers grew up riding bicycles, taking advantage of environmental, health and social benefits without so much as giving it a thought.

Riding my bike virtually everywhere required becoming adept at adjusting chain tension, lubricating bearings, replacing spokes, truing wheels, fixing flat tires and straightening bent fenders.

Cycling also brought familiarity with and responsibility for safe operation, especially important in dense urban traffic, as there were no helmets, bike lanes or paths back then.

It’s time for today’s Boomers to reacquaint themselves with this fun, healthy, life prolonging, money saving, environmentally friendly form of exercise and transportation. Read more…
